The Evpatoria Report - Golevka
New Noise is extremely excited to release the first ever vinyl release for “Golevka”, the monumental debut album by Swiss instrumental band The Evpatoria Report, 18 years after its original release date in 2005. This numbered deluxe vinyl release comes with a beautiful trifold gatefold cover and printed innersleeves with meticulously remade artwork by Swiss graphic designer Fabian Sbarro. Golevka’s Deluxe Vinyl issue includes two extra bonus tracks “Naptalan” and “Voskhod Project” from the band’s first EP.

The Evpatoria Report was founded in January 2002, the band offers an instrumental rock combining serenity, power and intensity. Despite their label of post-rock, The Evpatoria Report is a genre-crossing band that mixes the elements of post-rock with modern classical in an almost cinematic manner, with epic sweeping songs.
In order to enrich some of its compositions, The Evpatoria Report collaborates with other musicians, as it was the case with Reverse Engineering, the Orchestra of Ribaupierre or the Union Choral society of Vevey.
"Golevka" is not only the name of this album, but it is also actually the name of an asteroid (6489 Golevka), to be precise, that was discovered in the town of Evpatoria in Ukraine in 1991. This fascination with space is something that crops up again and again with the band, providing a theme for their music that can be understood, no matter what the preferred language of the listener is. For fans of Mogwai, Sigur Ros, etc.... An amazing travel trough outer space…
